How enquiries from your website work

Your Blosm website has a contact form. When a potential customer fills it in, you get notified. Here’s how it all works.

What happens when someone sends an enquiry

  1. They fill in the form on your website — their name, phone number, and what they need doing.
  2. You get a notification straight away — by text, email, or both, depending on what you’ve set up.
  3. You ring them back. The faster you respond, the more likely you are to win the job.

That’s it. No apps to download, no dashboards to log into, no passwords to remember.

How quickly should you respond?

As fast as you can. Seriously.

Research shows that if you respond within 5 minutes, you’re 21 times more likely to win the job than if you wait 30 minutes. That’s because the customer is probably contacting two or three tradespeople at once. The first one to call back usually wins.

If you’re on a job and can’t ring straight away, a quick text works:

Hi, got your message — I’m on a job right now but I’ll ring you this evening. Cheers, Dave

That’s enough to stop them calling someone else.

If you’re not getting notifications

Check these things:

  • Is your phone number correct? Text or ring us and we’ll confirm what we’ve got on file.
  • Check your spam folder if you’re getting email notifications — sometimes they end up there. Mark us as “not spam” and it’ll sort itself out.
  • Do Not Disturb mode on your phone will block text notifications. Make sure it’s off during working hours.

Can I change how I get notified?

Yes. Just tell us:

  • Text only — you get a text with the customer’s name, number, and message
  • Email only — you get an email with the full enquiry details
  • Both — belt and braces

Ring us on 07426 971904 or text us and we’ll change it for you in five minutes.

Keeping track of enquiries

We’d recommend saving every enquiry as a contact in your phone. Even if you don’t win the job, you’ve got their details for next time.

Some tradespeople keep a simple note on their phone — date, name, job type, whether they booked or not. It’s useful for knowing how many enquiries your website is bringing in.

Still stuck?

Text us, email us, or give us a ring. We'll sort it.
