How to share your website link everywhere
Your website’s live. Now you need to make sure people actually see it. Here’s everywhere you should put your link — and how to do it.
Your website address
Your website address is something like:
https://davetheplumber.co.uk
Copy it. You’re going to paste it in a lot of places.
Where to put it
1. Your Google Business Profile
This is the most important one. See our separate guide on how to do this.
2. Your TrustATrader / Checkatrade profile
Log in to your TrustATrader or Checkatrade account and find the “Website” field in your profile settings. Paste your link in there. This also helps your website rank better on Google — it counts as a “backlink.”
3. Your Facebook page
Go to your Facebook business page. Click Edit page info (under the About section). Find the Website field and paste your link.
4. Your WhatsApp status / bio
Open WhatsApp. Go to Settings > Profile. Tap your “About” text and add your website address.
5. Your email signature
If you send emails to customers (even just invoices), add your website to the bottom. Something like:
Dave Mitchell — Plumber 07426 971904 davetheplumber.co.uk
Most email apps let you set this up in Settings > Signature.
6. Your van
Next time you get your van sign-written or updated, add your website address. Keep it simple — just the domain name, nice and big. No need for “www.” or “https://“.
7. Your business cards
If you’ve got business cards, add the website. If you don’t have business cards, don’t worry about it — most tradespeople we talk to stopped using them years ago.
8. Your invoices and quotes
Add your website to any paperwork templates. It looks professional and reminds customers where to find you online.
The one thing most people forget
Text it to your existing customers. You’ve already got happy customers. Send them a quick text:
Hi, just to let you know I’ve got a proper website now — davetheplumber.co.uk. If you ever need anything or want to recommend me to anyone, all my details are on there.
That’s free marketing to people who already trust you.
